day one hundred and twenty one, butter london henley regatta

okay. i had posted all of my butter london polishes but i picked up two more (i really suck at being nail polish banned...i've broken it like...4x in a week!). i will admit that butter london kind of puzzles me...just in brand only. they are an american brand but all their polish names have to deal with places and events in the UK. i do'nt know...maybe it isn't weird. it just seems weird to me! anyway, henley regatta is a crew/rowing competition in the town of henley (and as a former coxswain i know all about it!) and butter london turned it into a blue-green/teal glitter. which i kind of dig because it reminds me of water? i'm not making much sense, am i! i will say that this is about...6 coats. it's quite sheer and needs to be built up to reach this level of opacity. BUT it doesn't look thick or goopy on the finger even after so many coats, so it might be time consuming but it pays off. this would probably go great layered over another colour....but that didn't occur to me and kind of defeats the purpose of showing the colour in its original glory!

i will say that i am FINALLY getting the hang of konad-ing and i am 100% hooked. i did two different designs for this manicure, umbrellas on my left hand (adorable!!!!) and fleur-de-lis on my right hand. i'm still figuring out konad-ing my weaker hand (as i'm a righty doing my right hand is hard work) and it came out really well on my pinky but not so much on the other fingers. i think it adds something fun to this great manicure.

it is also worth nothing that while this is glitter...the glitter is pretty fine, it's not the thick, chunky glitter from lippmann collection and is much easier to remove (but still requires a bit of elbow grease as do all glitters). i picked this up at harvey nichols for £10 but i know you can get it cheaper elsewhere. enjoy!
