here's a lovely red from orgasm cosmetics. looks pinker in the photos than it does in actuality...it's quite nice, not as dark as blood red but a pretty, true red. subtle shimmer that i managed to capture! the 2nd photo is the most colour accurate. i quite like it!

okay. some of you may remember that i was anti-purple for awhile. i was purpled-out, i had had enough! i still tried to show purple as it's a huge part of my collection but i wasn't really feeling it...until i saw THIS!

orgasm cosmetics, dripping wet! [just as a quick aside...i know some people find the company name and polish names to be gross and improper...and i don't have an issue with anyone feeling like that but don't discuss it here] this is my new FAVOURITE PURPLE! it's a deep, saturated colour with all this rainbow microshimmer dispered throughout. it's beyond beautiful! despite the no sun i actually managed to get REALLY good swatches for this colour so i'm keeping this light on the text.

i will say that i feel this is a dupe for nars purple rain, i picked up purple rain a couple days ago and i will swatch it and compare the two in the coming weeks!

seriously. i liked it so much it's been on my toes ever since i bought it!

okay. this is one of those times where my absent minded-ness bites me in the bum. i misplaced the bottle for this polish...even though i just finished painting them??? i am just really talented!!

anyway, here is another stunner from orgasm cosmetics. i'm really quite pleased with the ones i've tried so far. what the hell! is a vibrant, bright light blue with a strong shimmery reflection. it's really pretty, very appropriate for weather changes (seeing as how all our snow has melted!) and just really fun. eyecatching but flattering!

day one hundred and twenty, orgasm cosmetics indecent proposal

happy 2010 everyone! 70 followers, that's so exciting!!!

so this is where i change my tune on vamps. sorta. here's another doozy from orgasm cosmetics, called 'indecent proposal'. it's another vamp (which you can see) but it's MORE than that. this one actually has deep vampy burgundy shimmer throughout and it really makes this polish for me. if it was just a straight creme i wouldn't really feel it. i waited too long to take pictures (had to wait for doctor who!!!!!) and i missed the sunlight so you can't see the shimmer on my nails in the pictures (although i can see it myself even in pretty low lighting) but you CAN see it on the bottle. yeah i took these pictures right next to one of the lightbulbs in my bedroom to try and get the shimmer to pick up.

so i guess my conclusion is that i like shimmers...even vampy ones? i'm a shimmer addict. i'm even getting really into glitter although i wish it removed as simply as shimmers!

day one hundred and seven, orgasm cosmetics one more time!

today is a new brand, yay! i can't tell you much about orgasm cosmetics [besides how much i love the name!!!] but i can tell you that their polishes are $6/each and their online colour chart has no bearing on how the colours actually look. so i bought...6 of these polishes, 4 based on swatches i've seen on other blogs and 2 because the swatches looked cool. this is one of the cool swatch ones and while this isn't the colour i was expecting i'm incredibly thrilled with it. one more time! [LOVE the name!] is a stunningly gorgeous peachy/pink that is really warm and flattering on my skintone (it's everything starfish patrick wasn't with my skintone). it is very demure and beautiful and then when it hits bright sunlight it has a gorgeous shimmer that i managed to capture quite accurately. i was really really pleased with this colour, i was sad to take it off!! some people are offended by the brand name and their ostentatious polish names but it doesn't faze me, if anything it amuses me and works toward decreasing the taboo on bringing these words and subjects into normal conversation (ala inga muscio).

i also put on some nailene decorative stickers after my first set of swatches and then the sun REALLY came out so there are lots of pictures to truly show this beauty off.


it's also worth noting that i REALLY like the bottle shape. it's just perfect for holding in my palm and takes up little to no space.
