day one hundred and ninety nine, nars purple rain

drumroll....it's nars purple rain!!! SO SO SO GORGEOUS! i'm so happy i picked this up, after my nails went super short i wanted to wait until i had at least a little length to show off this gorgeous colour. i can say with 100% certainty that Orgasm Comsetics - Dripping Wet is NOT a dupe. they are two different base shades of purple. nars leans more red and orgasm leads more blue. so you can easily justify both!! what pleases me is that they both have the same kind of pinkish deep shimmer throughout the colour. so you get the same gorgeous glowing effect with two completely different shades of purple. this is definitely a warmer, more red based purple.

day thirty five, lippmann collection purple rain

okay. so this is a polish that makes me insane. i love the colour, it's a frosty lilac pink and it's absolutely beautiful - totally unique. HOWEVER EVERYTIME i wear this polish something goes wrong. air bubbles, streaks, the polish gets pulled around the cuticles and bald spots develop...it's just so frustrating. i want to love it and have it go perfectly...but it ALWAYS goes wrong!!! it's just heartbreaking. it's beautiful and was created specially for designer Zac Posen...but it hates my nails :(. i did closeup pictures to show the bubbles and bumps that occur
