day two hundred and fifty, rococo utility

so this is the second of my 3 polishes from rococo, it's a creme called 'utility'. i tried to get 3 different finishes from them, so far we've seen foils and now cremes...the last one is a shimmer i think (haven't looked at it in awhile!). i do like this colour, i feel it is different enough from my other greys to justify owning it. it is a true grey, there's no green/blue flash like i found with rescue beauty lounge and it's darker than orly's mirror mirror...BUT at the same time it isn't an original colour. it applied wonderfully, great opacity...it didn't need 3 coats, i could've gotten away quite happily with two. i personally don't own any dupes but i find it hard to believe there aren't ones you can get...and possibly cheaper. rococo retail for £11.50 which is approx the same price as illamasqua.but anyway, pricing aside...it's a lovely grey creme and you can never have too many!!

day two hundred and twenty nine, rococo dollar

oh man, nothing like a FANTASTIC polish to cheer you up after a bad experience. the amazingness of this polish wiped out any bad memories from my gosh polish disaster. it's insane how much i love this polish! it's definitely an amazing metallic foil in silver, it is a lot like ginger + liz swagger/diamond cosmetics party hearty but instead of being champagne coloured it's a true silver. it was total rocker chic, which is right up my alley! it sparkled something fierce and man, i just keep staring at my nails! it definitely feels like a strong metallic that is associated with minx but it is definitely not the same thing, it's not smooth when you look up close, you can see the foil clearly. but i was really pleased with the brand and the polish, application was great. the bottles reminded me of a narrower, taller version of the nars nailpolish bottles which i already like. and the packaging was fantastic! i definitely want to try more colours (and their cuticle oil and their top/base coats...see if they live up to the hype!).

i will admit that for a brand gaining so much notoriety it is really hard to find a lot of information about them!! maybe one of the big name nail bloggers will learn more in time, or the company will make their website more informational. i bought this for £12.50 at SpaceNK, i think that is the major stockist for the company. i also stuck a butterfly nail art sticker from the lovely people at nailene on my pinky because i always feel bad i never do any cool art with my nails, i keep forgetting that i have a billion konad plates and i worry that it detracts from the polish!

onto the polish porn!
