day two hundred and twenty eight, gosh gasoline

alright...this is a really disappointing one for me, i was crushed. after seeing swatches of this polish on http://www.lacquerized.com i thought i had found the ultimate polish to end all polishes...a purple flake! and while that's what it is in the bottle...i don't know if it is me or the bottle or this one batch..but it was a DISASTER. it was so runny and poorly pigmented and even with thin coats it kept pooling at the top of my fingers and so it wasn't distributing well across the nail. i put on about 5 coats and it was STILL patchy and ugh. i think i gave up on 7 coats. it came out okay-ish...as in i finally got even opacity across my fingers but the application and formula was a total nightmare. not to mention that with 7 coats getting it to actually dry was impossible. so it messed up constantly because there was too much polish to ever harden. it is a huge shame because if it had worked out i am not sure i could've ever worn another polish again! it sparkles beyond BELIEF! i took a video to show it off...but as this is the first gosh polish i've ever used and i paid almost £6 and for that price? i expect something fantastic. and this isn't the first instance of bad gosh polish applications i've heard about so i really don't think it's me!

So disappointing as I was looking forward to trying GOSH polishes, but now, meh?!. For that kind of cash, I'd like my polish to dance for me. For a polish even more expensive, then I'd like it to serve me breakfast in bed. LOL

6 pounds? bummer... maybe you can take it back to the store to get a refund if you bought it recently...
if that doesn't work put it up for a swap

Awww I'm so sorry for you! I also saw the pics at Laquerized, I think she makes AMAZING pictures and here nails look great. So great that it almost looks fake. Like a super human being. That might be why swatches from her blog look soooo mouthwatering yummy and then we get lemmings and we end up buying it. But at least for me, I can't photograph as well nor is my technique flawless so I always end up being disappointed. I get this from Scrangie too, her swatches are also awesome. Oh poor us!!! Again, I'm sorry for you, I agree that the polish looks nothing like how Laquerized swatched it :-(

Hmm if you want a similar colour that is good in 2-3 coats I'd try Barry M's Burgundy. I'm not sure if they still make it but I'm sure it's not that hard to get hold of.
Such a shame about your GOSH though!
