day two hundred and thirty nine, bb couture pipe bender

ignore everything i've ever said about greens, what i like, what is my favourite. forget it ALL because this one...is like...KING of green. all hail this polish. it's THAT GOOD!

pipe bender is part of the bb couture for men range but thankfully you don't have to be a man to own, buy or wear it! phew! it's a great deep green packed with shimmer...but the part that really blows my mind? it's got a BLUE FLASH. CONSTANTLY. it never goes away! i can't stop staring at it, it's the most AMAZING green i've EVER SEEN! seriously! how did i ever exist without this polish in my life!?!?!

i can't even talk about it, it's that amazing, i have to show you the pictures before i burst. is it blue!? is it green!? is it green and blue!? *explode*

day TWO HUNDRED! bb couture dragon's breath

omg 200 days! i can't believeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this has gone on for that long!!! i'm definitely gonna just keep going until i run out or something. i don't know yet!

anywayyyyy this is bb couture dragon's breath! it's a really cool dark red magenta jelly with silver and red glitter throughout. i really like this polish although i was so tired when i applied it that i didn't do a very good job so i feel like i could've done a much better job portraying how lovely and fun this colour is. the glitter catches the light and it's just a fun twist on a red...i don't know that i've actually come across a red with silver glitter and i gotta admit, i like it!

day one hundred and seventy seven, bb couture for men grenade

wouldn't you know...my thoughts yesterday to keep not buying polish flew out the window when i walked past the illamasqua counter. so coming up expect to see the new pastel collection!

bb couture released a line of nail polish for men and while i'm not a man...i love it! some of the shades are gorgeous and different, sort of playing it safe with men's colours but risky as women's polish! i can't picture any of the men in my life wearing nail polish....ever...i haven't actually seen this collection modelled by a man, that would be cool!

anyway, this is grenade. a really dark, camouflage-y green with gold dispersed throughout. i LOVE IT! it's amazing. incredibly rich, beautiful and deep, a definite must own!

day one hundred and sixty four, bb couture sea of cortez

okay these pictures have a really obvious yellow-y tint to them but the nail polish is accurately captured. if i put it on a normal setting the greens in this polish went away.

another awesome bb couture polish, sea of cortez. multicolour blue and green glitter suspended in a teal jelly base...this is 3 coats and there is good opacity, no visible nail line (hate!!!). it's a really REALLY cool colour, it truly does look like the ocean!

day one hundred and fifty four, bb couture union square

okay, truthfully i had forgotten all about 'wear red' day until i saw it on other blogs so i quickly changed my polish so i could do a relevant post about a cause i really support. i had a 2nd interview yesterday morning and decided to push the boundaries of my 'interview manicure' rules. i picked union square by bb couture (part of the Vampy Varnish Collection...named after union square in san francisco!) because it's a gorgeous brown/green/bronze metallic and it's beautiful! i didn't want to ignore wear red day so you get this today!

day one hundred and fifty one, bb couture blind love

this polish...blows me away. it sprinted to my top 5 must have list (which i cannot name because really it isn't just 5) but WOW. it's a near dead on dupe for chanel 'kaleidoscope'...it's the first metallic that has ever played nice with my nails. it leaves no brushtrokes and is incredibly eye catching. it feels almost minx-like but it isn't. i just..LOVE IT. this was one i was heartbroken to remove.

day one hundred and thirty seven, bb couture napa valley red

okay. so this is a new brand. and i put new in italics because it isn't really new. it hasn't just begun and i didn't just hear about it. it's new because i just never got around to buying any polish from this brand, even though it's been on my polish wishlist for about 2 years. bb couture is an american brand and they teamed up with Kelly of Vampy Varnish to create her dream collection. as someone who was raised in california (and went to university in oakland) i love all the place names with colours that depict locations in northern california i am intimately familiar with.

also, leave it to Kelly, vampy colour queen to create a vamp that even I (vamp hater!) can't get enough of!!! napa valley red is a like a glass of a bordeaux with carbonation. a bordeaux spritzer if you'll allow it (not that i'd ever encourage actually drinking it in real life...sounds disgusting. but as a visual! it helps get the point across!). it's a dark dark red with red glitter densely packed in the polish. i usually don't like the red glitter on black polishes because the red glitter gets lost...but not in this one. it doesn't even look like a plain vamp in really bad, low lighting. you can still see the glitter!!!! it's like a miracle! the polish just glows. i know i'm writing a lot for one colour but it is a stand-out, must have colour!
