day two hundred and seven, obsessive compulsive cosmetics blackboard

a moment of silence....this is the last of my obsessive compulsive cosmetics collection! :( i definitely will buy more (not right now but in general) because i love their stuff! they do such interesting colours and also have amazing makeup!

blackboard is exactly what this colour is. it's the same green colour that was on all my chalkboards in classrooms growing up! i know they call it blackboard because it was once white chalk on a black board...but in my school teh board was green! feels like they should change it to greenboard! anyway, this is a stunning almost vamp-esque green. very dark, excellent pigment and never looks anything other than green.

i only own 1 piece of occ makeup that i like [their lip items are too intense for me, i prefer a more natural, sheer lip] and that is their pigment! i have the colour 'elephantine' and it's a beautiful light grey packed with iridescent shimmer. i love putting it on solo and it makes my eyes light up well or over my finished makeup for an extra sparkle.

day eighty six, obsessive compulsive cosmetics wasabi

this is one of my last obsessive compulsive nail polishes, it is definitely one of my favourites. wasabi is...well wasabi coloured!!! neon yellow (with green accents) and very eye catching. like all neons it's pretty chalky and dries rather matte. application was a bit streaky and thin and required about 4 coats to be even opacity throughout. but despite that..i love this colour. it's so different and fun!

day forty two, obsessive compulsive cosmetics grandma

alright so here's another pink...definitely not my usual choice and one i've actually never worn before. i mostly bought it because the name made it an acceptable pink. grandma. what a fantastic name for a disgustingly pepto bismol pink polish. my grandmother never wore nail polish (at least that i can recall) but it helps evoke a blue haired little old lady showing off her fantasticly pink nails. very nice application, not chalky and quite pleasant to work with.

day thirty four, obsessive compulsive cosmetics swamp thing

here is where i get to start to show my love of off the beaten path colours. swamp thing is exactly what it sounds like. a dirty, swampy green and i LOVE it. the colour is just gorgeous, a camoflauge esque green that is 10000x more interesting than a normal green because it's brownish and not a colour you would associate with pretty nail polish. obsessive compulsive cosmetics are quite good at capturing 'odd' colours and turning them into polish. but i would trust their judgement on what makes good colour since they are such lauded makeup creators/artists

day 5, obsessive compulsive cosmetics dangerous

yay another day and another brand!

today is obsessive compulsive cosmetics (OCC) and one of their colours that is a dark grey called 'dangerous'. again the sunlight hates me and refused to appear so i got the best shots i could but they make it look more green and blue than it really is. OCC are known for technical...kinda makeup (okay i suck at this part!) they do a lot of airbrushing makeup for fashion shoots and stuff. so they make super pigmented stuff like lip gloss and nail polish! they have a quite a range of colours, i've only got about 5 of the lot. dangerous is a 'flat' creme. meaning there's no depth or shimmer or inner glow. you will see that some polishes just seem to be illuminated from the inside out. this is just a single flat colour. but it's still very pretty! it's kind of like the colour of wet concrete, deep dark grey - but it doesn't appeark black in any light!

so here we go! these are very reasonably priced at only $8/bottle!
