day one hundred and forty seven, opi designer series reserve

okay. here is an interesting and gorgeous designer series polish from opi called reserve. it's sort of a coppery/peach almost flesh colour but the diamond dust signature of all DS polishes makes it ridiculously intriguing, beautiful and exciting!!! i'm completely enamoured with it, it also makes another good demure yet fantastic manicure for people who might shy away from neon green with purple polka dot fingers (haha). this beauty was gifted to me by a friend and i'm so glad she chose it because i probably would've never picked it for myself but now that it is on...i adore it. it's just really different!!

day one hundred and ten, opi designer series divine

we finally got some sunshine! it didn't last long...but i snapped pictures the second the sun appeared. today is divine, from the opi designer series. i think this might've been my first DS polish?? one of the firsts at least! it's a really great warm pink with rainbow holographic microshimmer all over the place. this is what i expect from a designer series polish...not what i showcased with jewel. very girly, very pretty...definitely one that i love to watch glimmer in the sunshine!

day ninety four, opi designer series jewel

this is probably my least favourite designer series polish. it's also the least designer series polish i've ever seen. most of them have a very specific trademarked diamond dust effect that give it a beautiful prismatic glow. this one is more of a ...reddish burnt sienna i guess. and it had microglitter of the same colour in the polish. when other brands do this i usually love it because it adds depth but it didnt' work for me here. it was just...weird. this is just not typical for a designer series polish, it lacks all the typical characteristics. i give it points for being a strange brown/red colour but i feel like it just misses the mark entirely.

day seventy one, opi designer series fantasy

i lack words to describe how awesome and amazing the opi designer series polishes are. i love love love them. they are beautiful and i don't own a single one i don'd adore! fantasy is a beautiful dark blue holographic polish. it's different than some of the other blue shimmers because so far we've seen navy with navy shimmer, navy with light blue shimmer...this is kin of an all over silvery colour. not like bits of glitter, more like a smooth mixing of sparkle and blue. fantastic. i love it!

day forty three, opi ds extravagance

the opi designer series is quite possibly one of my favourite OPI collections. i mean yes the stuff they bring out throughout the year is lovely...but the designer series just tops everything. it's enhanced with 'diamond dust' to give it an extra sparkle. this is true prismatic polish goodness and it is my gold standard when comparing any holographic/prismatic polish. they all have to stand up to the OPI designer series (ds). extravangace is probably my favourite DS polish, it's a reddish purpley base with huge bunches of microglitter thrown throughout to create this beautiful polish that catches the light and takes my breath away. i'm definitely guilty of owning more polishes than i know what to do with but extravagance is a polish i always come back to and reapply. it's just a must have for every collection. i've only got 5 ds polishes but eventually i will show them all! i know this is an incredibly messy application but it was worth showing immediately. i know it looks like it could be a bumpy polish with all that glitter packed in but it is 100% smooth and removes easily -- this is microglitter/shimmer (okay...i know there's probably a more technical word to describe exactly what it is but i don't know it so just bear with me!) not normal chunky glitter.
