day ninety six, nubar sour candy

sour candy reminds me a lot of the new china glaze glitters except that it is wayyyyy more jelly the china glaze glitters (seem -- don't actually own any...yet!). this is about as opaque as it gets...it's better for layering over polish than on its own. but it glitters in a gorgeous way! it's a turquoise jelly and it has circle sized glitter amongst the mini glitter. the circles catch the light and are almost little mirror reflectors.

they (nubar) have a pink version of this called sugar, a yellow-ish version called golden glow.

Oooh! Sparkly! This would be so great to layer with. I haven't yet tried Nubar polishes yet but I desperately want to.

it's funny because i forgot i even owned this polish until i pulled it out. i have some greens (and by some...i mean like...40) to get through eventually and i'll definitely do some layer shots to show what it looks like on top of a teal/green. i have over a dozen nubars and they're all wonderful!

If you like this one, I'll bet you'd also like Nubar Indigo Illusion- no glitter, but it's a duochrome (actually more like a quadrachrome...)-
light blue/dark blue/green/aqua- it's gorgeous, and I bet it would look great with this one (sour candy) over it!
