day two hundred and forty nine, sally hansen american beauty (project runway)

okay, this is where my not having a lamp gets annoying. but i'm getting one tomorrow, i'm going to write it on my hand so i don't forget (i used to do this in high school...i have a horrific memory so i'm going to enlist that old trick tomorrow!). okay, anyway! yes. lamps! i couldn't get the light in my flat bright enough to really capture how GORGEOUS this polish is!!! it's another of the project runway canadian exclusive collection. i don't even know how to describe it. it's a magenta with pink microglitter packed in so it glows and sparkles something gorgeous. you can see by the amount of pictures that i desperately tried to capture what i was seeing on my nails but i just couldn't do it. maybe someday when i start re-wearing polishes (instead of just going from one unworn to another...after 365 days i might revisit some of the ones i loved the most!) i'll get a better image!


i'm glad everyone responded so well to my nfu-oh yesterday, i still have 15 more to show you...so we're in it for the long haul!

day two hundred and thirty five, sally hansen salon crushed velvet

not an entirely original colour, similar to orgasm cosmetics 'dripping wet' this is another purple with magenta shimmer. i don't care that it isn't original, this is quickly becoming one of my favourite ways to have purple nail polish. it just glows and is so beautiful! just a short description tonight, i'm exhausted! but TGIF!

day two hundred and twenty, sally hansen salon pat on black

i've been totally rubbish at replying to comments recently and i promise to catch up this weekend! i work wednesday to friday so the days are basically gone to me and i don't get around to replying when i get home as i have stuff to do and such! like swatching! we've actually had some sunshine in london but it's been on my working days so i can't capture it! i have to swatch at night (on my work days) so this is the best you're gonna get!!

okay. meh. sally hansen salon circa 2009 (when i bought it) called pat on black. i need to examine my head. i don't LIKE vamps but i keep buying them!? i think i have some sort of brain damage where i keep WANTING to like them but they're just...black looking. it's like the navy nailtini. i don't buy a dark coloured polish so it can look black unless it's under sunshine or a super bright halogen lightbulb. that's how i feel about this colour...although it seems a bit interesting because it looks more of a brown burgundy vamp instead of just a burgundy vamp. but beyond that....i don't really have anything to say. if i could carry around things to keep my fingers brightly lit at all times i might be more kind to vamps!! :)

day one hundred and ninety eight, sally hansen salon project runway

happy st patrick's day everyone! i hope you are all having a great day and celebrating in your preferred manner (personally i had some pizza and a diet coke! mmm).

i couldn't wait to show you another project runway polish and this is the eponymous polish of the collection and the one that caught my eye the most! project runway is a gorgeous deep green with tons of gold shimmer throughout the polish (and easily visible in the bottle). it's stunning, eye catching and surprisingly unlike any other green i've come across (which is tough to do!!!). in the right light the gold shimmer made the polish almost..reflective and glowing in a really cool way, otherwise it just complemented the green. this collection makes me so excited!!!

day one hundred and ninety six, sally hansen salon burnt sienna

alright, this makes me SUPER EXCITED! through the joys of makeupalley and swapping i have managed to get my greedy lacquered fingers on the sally hansen project runway canadian exclusives. the whole collection!!! i am soooo excited! i thought my chances at getting this collection were long gone until some friendly fellow bloggers pointed me in the direction of a MUA member who was willing to swap! YAY! this just makes me super happy. i am all about swapping right now but man it takes time and effort to package everything!

anyway, burnt sienna. doesn't actually remind me of the crayon colour burnt sienna i grew up with...but more of an antique gold. i love this colour. it's gold and green and brown all at once. kind of like...a brassy gold? does that even make sense?? it's definitely unique, it's kind of almost ugly (or just 'non pretty') in colour and i cannot get enough of it! just so fun to look at!!

day one hundred and eighty three, sally hansen salon passion plum

okay. this is a tricky one. this is a really pretty sally hansen salon colour called 'passion plum'. BUT it is basically a purple vamp...very very tough to see the purple chock full of purple shimmer unless you are in super bright light...otherwise it looks kind of black. it's a bit disappointing because in the right light it is SO BEAUTIFUL. but who really has powerful sunlight around them 24/7?

all in all...i'm honestly not sure what to say about this one. it's gorgeous but tough to truly realise the beauty without the right light.

day twenty, sally hansen salon wine not?

okay, this is i think officially the second to last day of my brands! hurrah! sally hansen salon range is the more posh version of sally hansen polishes. different bottle, slightly thinner formular and different colours. i love the cap, it is rubber with grippers which makes it easy for my shaky hands to hold onto. wine not? is a goooorrrrgeous wine red with a bit of a shimmer to it. definitely a fantastic polish.
